 Vanessa Paradis and Jason Flemyng star as lovers kept apart by a testy father in a small bayou town. It seems daddy doesn't like the fact that the boy is an escaped convict, but - more importantly - everybody is more excited over the village's Annual Talent Show competition. Then, quite unexpectedly, the story transmutes into an ultra-violent SciFi thriller. Creatures from Outer Space attack the backwoods community with a brutal (and amazingly graphic) force. The aliens are merciless and the humanity's struggle for survival is painted blood red. |
